6 golds for Pitars' wines in the prestigious french guide Gilbert & Gaillard

With pride and satisfaction we announce the flattering reviews of one of the most important wine guides in the world, the french Gilbert & Gaillard.

The prestigious magazine, edited by Philippe Gaillard and François Gilbert, among the maximum wine experts, awards all Pitars wines presented to the annual selection with 6 golden medals.

The italian tasting team, leaded by the expert Dolphins Veissiere, assigned a special mention to our white Séris for its "great finesse, complexity and the outstanding quality of elaboration".

This are the comments of the judges that will appear in the new issue, pubblished in 9 languages:

Séris 2011
Brilliant golden hue. Pleasant nose showing suggestions of jammy peach, acacia honey and raisins. Full, fresh palate with flavours of orange blossom. A wine displaying beautiful presence. Set aside for sophisticated cuisine.

Tureis 2010

Deep gold. Evolved, concentrated nose intermixing fruity, honeyed and vanilla-infused fragrances with a creamy touch. Intense, vertical, fresh palate flowing into vegetal aromatics that linger on the finish. Good length. Drink with oven-baked guinea fowl.

Angelo 2009

Brilliant coppery hue. Subtle, quite neutral fruit on the nose. The palate is mellow yet fresh and is more expressive with suggestions of apricot flesh. Focused fruity finish. Perfect for fruit tarts.

Pinot Grigio Braida Santa Cecilia 2012

Straw-yellow. Expressive nose intermixing vanilla and jasmine with vegetal notes. Fresh, perfumed palate with flavours of exotic fruits and citrus. Bone dry on the finish, would work well with roast veal.

Brumal 2010

Light ruby. Subtle nose opening up to wild black fruits and black pepper with a balsamic touch. Fresh, robust palate showing a tannin structure dominated by evident oak. Drink with grilled meats.

Prosecco D.O.C. Extra dry NV

Straw-yellow with a fine, persistent mousse. Intense nose revealing delicate notes of lemon-flavoured cream, white flowers and dried almond. Fresh, crunchy palate with aromas of bitter almond. Drink with food.
